Back to School Again

It is still hot like summer should be but school starts on Monday here in NW Florida and my kids will begin another year of ABC's and 123's. For my son it will be his Senior year, hard to believe! He is turning in to a man right before my eyes. The twins will begin the 2nd grade; we meet their teacher on Friday. This is there first year where I do not know any of the teachers for this grade so I am praying that she is as good as the first two they have had. I have decided to keep them together in the same class this year but might separate them next year, never know what the right thing to do is in this area and as they are getting older I have begun asking their input and they both said yes "same room!", so hopefully that will work out for the best. Another season come and gone and now on to Fall and hopefully some cooler weather - cheers all :o)

Anniversary Dinner

This is the "Shrimp Boat" restaurant that dear Hubby and I went to for our Anniversary. It is right on the bay in the historical St. Andrews part of our city. The restaurant is huge with style and had great atmosphere, service was outstanding and the food was the best I have experienced in a long time. It was so nice to sit and visit while waiting on our dinner to arrive - we watched boats come in and boats go out; saw sea birds fly by and some land; fish jumping in and out of the water and the sun setting with a relaxing glow. A special night with my special love - next year will be the big 25th - wow!!!

I have been sick with the sinus crude that seems to be ruling the world these days. I did go straight in to the doctor and she gave me antibiotics/inhaler/nose sniffer and so I am beginnning - just today- to feel somewhat normal again. Have missed checking in on my favorite blogs and will attempt to get caught up this weekend.

I am so excited about the three gifts I asked for to get for Mother's Day this year. The books I heard about over on Nan's blog, "Letters from a Hill Farm" and the kitchen item is something I have been wanting to try for a while. Florida Sand Dunes

These pics were taken during our camping trip. The beach sand in this region of Florida is as white as snow and the sand dunes at this state park are some of the tallest in the United States. My son and his friend were at the top of one and he is showing me that he is "King of the Dunes" LOL. The trees in this area grow in a stunted manner and are "designed" to withstand the winds that are brought about when hurricanes show up.

It's my Birthday... It's my Birthday... It's my Birthday... All day long!!! I am singing to myself today - I love my birthday and celebrate all day long each year. I am thankful for another year to work and hopefully improve on myself and to love and spend time with my family and friends. Thank you God for this day and for your love.

An early morning walk

One morning, while we were camping, the girls and I and our little pup got up very early and went for a nice long walk. Here are some pics of what we experienced and as you can tell from the jackets - it was a wee bit cold since it had rained all day the day before. We saw many birds, some very cool trees and flowers, and the girls got most excited about the foot prints that a racoon left on the boardwalk during his night time prowling. It was so quiet since we were about the only ones up and about and we could here the birds singing along with the soothing sounds of the waves lapping the shoreline. Ah - so very peaceful and special!

This is our little pop-up camper. It has 1 queen bed for mom and dad and 1 full size bed for the twins. The twins love going camping and I think the camper has alot to do with this, they just love playing in it and sleeping next to Mom and Dad! Our son has a pop-up Van we bring along that is "home away from home" when we go camping but I forgot to get a pic of.

This week is Spring Break for our children so we planned a trip to one of the nearby state parks for 5 days of fun in the Great Outdoors. We had two days of rain but did not let that slow us down (nope/nope/nope). We played in the rain and slept through the storms (well sorta) and kept on enjoying the nice break of being with each other and away from the usual stresses of everyday life that work and school bring. I have pictures that I hope to share/post soon.
